Zajęcia z języka angielskiego

Kolejne zajęcia.  Dzisiaj poznawaliśmy Włochy oraz uczyliśmy się podstawowych zwrotów w języku włoskim. Na koniec prezentowaliśmy przygotowane na poprzednim spotkaniu projekty własnych wysp.

Po angielsku

Dzisiaj 28.06, odbyły się pierwsze zajęcia z języka angielskiego. Na samym początku wyszliśmy na zewnątrz i aby lepiej się poznać opowiadaliśmy o sobie oraz swoich upodobaniach. Następnie zostaliśmy podzieleni na grupy i w ramach integracji wykonywaliśmy projekt swojej własnej wyspy.

IC Largo Volumnia is a quite big school. There are over 1,000 students from 3 to 14 years old. The school consists of 2 separate buildings. There is a section for the kindergarten, for the little kids from 3 to 5; two sections for the primary school, for students from 5 to 11; and one big building for the middle school, for students from 11 to 14.

Our school is located in a very crowded area near Parco della Caffarella and Parco dell’Appia Antica, two very beautiful parks where kids can play with their friends. People go there and ride a bike, or visit important ruins and wonderful monuments rich in history along via Appia Antica, one of the oldest Roman roads. We are about 20 minutes away by bus from the city centre. If you take the train/underground, you’ll be soon in Piramide, a famous monument near Circo Massimo, the Colosseum, the Aventine and the Palatine (two of the seven famous hills in Rome). Rome is undoubtedly one of the most wonderful cities all over the world. There are a lot of famous monuments, museums and churches you can visit. Furthermore, we are not far away from the beautiful coast. Within a 30-minute train trip, you’ll get to Ostia, the famous seaside near Rome where all the Romans go during their summer holidays. In the past, Ostia was the place where Emperors used to spend their holidays. Today in Ostia Antica there are still ruins where you can admire old Roman villa floors.

We go to school from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 in the morning to 2:00 in the afternoon, but sometimes we stay at school in the afternoon for our lab activities. For example, we have foreing language classes, art classes, Italian classes for foreign students who don’t speak Italian fluently. My school can offer your students morning classes, such as Music, Art, Physical Education, English, Computer. But if there are still corona virus problems we will have outdoor classes according to the school rule. Students will be divided into small groups, they will learn to communicate in a foreign language (English), they will learn about foreign traditions and different educational system. Since our project is related to cultural heritage, outdoor classes will be related to history, ruins and monuments in Rome. There are so many monuments, so we do not have any problem to have an interesting lesson on art among some of the most beautiful monuments all over the world. During your stay in our school, we could learn legends related to Rome, such as the Founding of Rome. We can visit together the place mentioned in the legends, such as the Palatine Hill where Rome was founded.

IC Largo Volumnia School is also involved in Erasmus+ Projects. In the last years some students with their teachers went to Spain, Bulgaria and Hungary. We hosted foreign students and teachers in Rome as well. The project name was ‘Different countries, same heart – Europe is my home’. Some teachers are also etwinning teachers, so a few classes also participate in etwinning projects.

Opis przedsięwzięcia 

Patron naszej szkoły Henryk Sienkiewicz (autor Quo vadis) powiedział: "Każdy cywilizowany człowiek ma dwie ojczyzny: swoją i włoską.”  Dlatego 20 uczniów ze Szkoły Podstawowej Nr 6 w Gnieźnie, w wieku 12--14 lat z klas VI-VII  zaplanuje, a następnie zrealizuje podróż do Włoch - “drugiej ojczyzny cywilizowanego człowieka”.  
Mobilność będzie poprzedzona wspólnym projektem eTwinning "Let's share stories"- polscy i włoscy uczniowie będą nawzajem uczyć się o najstarszych legendach dotyczących powstania Rzymu i Gniezna. W ramach przygotowania do mobilności odbędzie się kurs języka angielskiego, kilka lekcji języka włoskiego oraz zajęcia przypominające historię Rzymu. Uczniowie zapoznają się z powieścią Quo vadis. Przygotują trasę zwiedzania Rzymu śladami Sienkiewicza i miejsc opisanych w “Quo vadis” oraz związanych z legendami Rzymu. Przygotują prezentację na temat Gniezna i Polski oraz prezentację pokazującą postać patrona szkoły, jego spuściznę literacką i fascynację kulturą włoską, które zaprezentują  włoskim kolegom podczas pobytu w ich szkole. 
W czasie mobilności wspólnie z włoskimi kolegami będą zwiedzać Rzym, Ostia i okolice szkoły. W oparciu o przygotowaną przed wyjazdem trasę śladami Sienkiewicza stworzą wspólną grę oraz przygotują  prezentację w języku angielskim na temat Rzymu  z czasów Quo Vadis.  Przygotują też quiz kahoot na temat podstawowych wiadomości dotyczących Włoch oraz film z najciekawszych momentów pobytu. Aplikacje learningapps i pictramap wykorzystają przy prezentacji fotografii miejsc związanych z Sienkiewiczem.  
Nauczą się włoskiego tańca i piosenki, wezmą udział w warsztatach kulinarnych.
Podczas lekcji sztuki i przygotują  rękodzieła inspirowane poznanymi zabytkami. Wezmą udział w zajęciach plenerowych prowadzonych przez nauczycieli sztuki.
Przygotowane materiały oraz zdobyte umiejętności  wykorzystają po powrocie do szkoły podczas organizacji Święta Patrona - Henryka Sienkiewicza..  
Na zajęciach będą pracować w mieszanych grupach z uczniami włoskimi a językiem komunikacji będzie angielski, ale uczniowie wykorzystywać też będą poznane zwroty w języku włoskim.  
Projekt będzie służył poznaniu włoskiego i polskiego dziedzictwa - odkryciu i zrozumieniu  wspólnych wartości i źródeł  kultury, wzmocni też poczucie przynależności do większej, europejskiej rodziny. Rozbudzi  ciekawość poznawczą i zainteresowania, będzie bodźcem do rozwijania wielu kompetencji kluczowych. Uczniowie poprzez doświadczenie podróży do Włoch, poszerzą własne horyzonty i widzenie świata, poznają swoje korzenie jako Polaków i Europejczyków, otworzą się bardziej na innych, nauczą się szacunku i tolerancji. 
Nauczyciele będą mieli możliwość porównać swoje metody nauczania z nauczycielami z włoskiej szkoły, a uczestnicząc w zajęciach pozyskać nowe narzędzia do prowadzenia zajęć.

The patron of our school, Henryk Sienkiewicz, inter alia author of Quo vadis, said: "Every civilized man has two homelands: his own and Italian. For this reason, 20 students from Primary School No. 6 in Gniezno, aged 12-14 years from grades VI-VII, will plan and implement a journey to Italy - "the second homeland of a civilized man".  The mobility will be preceded by a joint eTwinning project "Let's share stories"- Polish and Italian pupils will learn about each other's the oldest legends about the origins of Rome and Gniezno. In preparation for mobility, there will be an English course, several Italian lessons and activities recalling the history of Rome. Students will be introduced to the novel Quo vadis by H. Sienkiewicz. They will prepare a route to visit Rome in Sienkiewicz footsteps, the places described in "Quo vadis" and related to the legends of Rome. They will prepare a presentation about Gniezno and Poland and a presentation about the Henryk Sienkiewicz, his literary legacy and his fascination with Italian culture. The presentation will be presented to the Italian colleagues during their stay at their school.  During the mobility, together with their Italian colleagues, they will visit Rome, Ostia and the surrounding area of the school, based on the pre-departure route. They will use their photographs of monuments to create a presentation in English about Rome from the times of Quo Vadis and places connected with Sienkiewicz. They will also prepare a quiz kahoot about the basic news about Italy and a film about the most interesting moments of the stay. They will learn Italian dance and song, take part in culinary workshops, prepare art lessons and handicrafts inspired by the sightseeing. They will take part in outdoor activities conducted by art teachers. The materials and skills they have prepared will be used on their return to school during the organization of the Henryk Sienkiewicz Day. During the classes they will work in mixed groups with Italian students and the language of communication will be English, but the students will also use the phrases learned in Italian.   The project will be aimed at learning about Italian and Polish heritage - discovering and understanding common values and sources of culture, as well as strengthening the sense of belonging to a larger European family. It will arouse cognitive curiosity and interest, will be a stimulus to develop many key competences. Through the experience of traveling to Italy, students will broaden their horizons and vision of the world, learn about their roots as Poles and Europeans, open up more to others, learn respect and tolerance.  Teachers will have the opportunity to compare their teaching methods with those of the Italian school, and by participating in classes they will gain new tools for teaching.

Pierwsze spotkanie

Dziś odbyło się pierwsze spotkanie organizacyjne. Przybyli rodzice uczestników, aby poznać opiekunów i założenia projektu. Pierwsze zadanie wykonane - stworzyliśmy wlasne awatary i umiesciliśmy je na padlecie. Wypełniliśmy też pierwsze ankiety na start.
